X-WR-CALDESC:For many\, entrepreneurship is synonymous with starting a comp
any\, but over the last few years we have worked hard to broaden this narr
ow understanding – starting a company is just one manifestation of entrepr
eneurship. The term has expanded to cover many other ways that an entrepre
neurial mindset can be applied to different situations such as social entr
 epreneurship\, intrapreneurship\, creative problem solving\, opportunity r
 ecognition\, technology management\, innovation and career development\, e
tc. In this session we will focus on the aspects of an entrepreneurial min
dset and how to use that mindset for innovation with a focus on business m
odeling.\n\nPresented by Robert Macy\, a faculty member in the Management
Department at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and Director of the En
trepreneurship Center. He received his Ph.D. in Strategic Management and E
ntrepreneurship from the University of Oregon\, a Masters of Business Admi
nistration\, also from the University of Oregon\, a Doctor of Jurisprudenc
e from the University of Oregon School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degre
e in history from Washington State University. Robert has been an entrepre
neur for over 30 years and a founder of companies ranging from professiona
l service firms\, to tech startups\, to pioneering firms in interactive en
tertainment. \n\nThis course is approved for continued education credits
 for HR professionals.
