LT Executive Series: Courageous and Confident Communication

Tuesday, May 7, 2024
8:30 am11:30 am

Description: Communication is a key to every aspect of our lives – personal, professional, and in-between. When we do it well, we can be effective in even the most challenging or uncomfortable situations. Communicating well isn’t all about us though. It has at least two parties – the message sender(s) and the message recipient(s). As leaders, we can be really confident about how we send messages while also having the courage and curiosity about how others will receive our message and doing the work to ADAPT to others without giving up who we are. During this interactive session, you’ll boost your courage and confidence in your communication through developing competence about how different people communicate.

Learning Objectives:
• Assess with objectivity and subjectivity their individual communication and behavioral tendencies related to approaching problems/challenges, people/contacts, pace/consistency, and procedures/constraints.
• Analyze others’ tendencies of the above and potential conflicts and opportunities between team members.
• Develop a beginning action plan to use the information to work effectively with others.
