Executive Series - Ethics in the Workplace: Policies and Procedures

Explores the ethical implications of business policies and decisions made by business entities and individual managers within a business environment and offers strategies and processes to solve ethical dilemmas in the workplace.

Presented by George Ayoub, a writer, journalist, and teacher. He is an adjunct faculty member and part of the Academic Support staff at Hastings College. He was an adjunct for 15 years at Doane University where he taught several ethics courses including “Ethics in a Business Environment” and “Ethics and Social Responsibility.”

He retired from The Independent in 2015 after filing on deadline nearly 4,000 columns and features in 21 years during which time his work also appeared in the Omaha World-Herald, the Kearney Hub, and a number of newspapers across the nation. His writing has won state and national journalism awards. He is the author of three books, the latest being “Confluence,” the biography of John Gottschalk, former publisher and CEO of the Omaha World-Herald. “Confluence” was published by Teewinot Publishing in December 2019.

He regularly writes Commentary for the Nebraska Examiner, an online non-profit newspaper.
